Abroad means any country other than your home country.

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letter of Recommendation (LOR) writing assistance
  • Scholarship identification and application support
  • Visa application guidance and interview preparation
  • IELTS, PTE, GRE, and SAT, etc. test preparation resources
  • Post-arrival support including accommodation and integration assistance

Service Limitations:

  • We provide guidance and advisory services only - we do not make admission decisions
  • University acceptance depends solely on the institution's admission criteria
  • Visa approval is subject to government immigration policies beyond our control
  • We cannot guarantee scholarship awards or specific financial outcomes

Mentor Qualifications:

All student mentors are verified current or recent international students who have successfully completed similar academic journeys. While mentors provide valuable peer guidance based on personal experience, their advice does not constitute professional educational counselling or legal advice.

Video Mentoring and Platform Matching

Our platform facilitates video consultations between mentees and mentors through our secure digital platform and mobile application.

Mentoring Process:

  • Mentor-mentee matching based on academic interests, target universities, and geographic preferences
  • Scheduled video consultations through our platform technology
  • Session recordings available for educational review (subject to mentor consent)
  • Follow-up support and progress tracking through the application journey

Platform Safety and Standards:

  • All mentors undergo verification checks including academic credentials and student status
  • Video sessions are conducted through our monitored platform infrastructure
  • Inappropriate conduct or violations of community standards result in immediate account suspension
  • We maintain the right to review session recordings for quality assurance and safety purposes

Mentor Compensation and Fees:

Mentors receive compensation for their consultation time as independent service providers. This peer-to-peer arrangement does not constitute an employment relationship with Inforens.

Educational Loan Facilitation

Loan Broker Services:

  • Inforens acts as an introducer to authorized educational loan providers
  • We do not provide loans directly but facilitate connections with regulated financial institutions
  • Loan approval subject to individual creditworthiness and lender criteria beyond our control

No Processing Fee Commitment:

  • No fees charged by Inforens for loan introductions or application facilitation
  • All lender fees, interest rates, and terms disclosed transparently before application
  • Students remain responsible for loan repayment obligations directly to approved lenders

Financial Advice Disclaimer:

Loan information provided is general guidance only. We strongly recommend independent financial advice before committing to any loan agreement. We are not authorized to provide regulated financial advice under FCA requirements.

Membership Tiers and Community Services

Explorer Membership (Free Tier):

  • Access to job listings, discounted travel, cultural events, and basic community features
  • No recurring fees - supported through our partnership revenue model
  • Basic customer support through community forums and email

Globetrotter Membership (Premium Tier):

  • Advanced benefits including career workshops, legal advice, housing support, networking events
  • Monthly or annual subscription payments as displayed at time of purchase
  • Enhanced 1-on-1 mentor access and priority customer support
  • Couch-stay privileges through verified student accommodation network

Membership Modification and Cancellation:

  • Free tier membership can be terminated at any time without notice
  • Premium memberships subject to 30-day cancellation notice for recurring subscriptions
  • Pro-rata refunds available for unused premium membership periods
  • Membership benefits subject to third-party partner availability and terms

Community Standards and Student Safety

Acceptable Use Policy:

  • Respectful interaction between all community members regardless of nationality, background, or academic level
  • Prohibition of discriminatory language, harassment, or inappropriate conduct
  • Academic integrity standards apply to all mentoring and guidance activities
  • No sharing of unauthorized academic materials or plagiarized content

Safety and Verification:

  • Student identity verification required for all mentors and premium members
  • Incident reporting system available for community standards violations
  • Immediate suspension for serious misconduct including fraud or harassment
  • Cooperation with university authorities and law enforcement where legally required

Third-Party Partnerships and Affiliate Services

Student Discount Partnerships:

  • Exclusive partnerships with retailers, travel providers, and service companies
  • Discount rates and availability subject to partner terms and conditions
  • Partner relationships may change, affecting discount availability
  • No guarantee of continued partnerships or specific discount levels

SIM Card and Mobile Services:

  • International calling plans and mobile services through authorized UK network partners
  • Service quality, coverage, and customer support provided directly by mobile network operators
  • Billing disputes and technical issues handled by respective service providers
  • Inforens does not provide direct telecommunication services

Accommodation and Lifestyle Services:

  • Housing referrals, legal advice, and lifestyle services through qualified third-party providers
  • Service quality and professional standards maintained by individual service providers
  • Complaints about third-party services should be directed to the respective provider
  • Inforens does not guarantee service outcomes

Service Termination and Third-Party Dependencies

Core vs Promotional Services: Our consultation and university application services are delivered directly by Inforens. Our offers, discounts, and cashback programs ("Promotional Services") depend on third-party partnerships.

Planned Changes:

We may modify or discontinue services with 30 days' written notice.

Third-Party Disruption:

If partnerships essential to Promotional Services are terminated or disrupted, we may immediately suspend those services with notice to affected users. Core services continue uninterrupted.

Force Majeure:

Promotional Services may be terminated immediately due to circumstances beyond our control, including third-party partner failures, regulatory changes, or technical disruptions affecting promotional partnerships.

User Protection:

  • Core services remain available regardless of promotional partnership changes
  • Accrued promotional benefits (cashback, discounts) will be honoured where technically possible
  • Outstanding promotional payments processed within 30 days
  • Alternative promotional arrangements sought where viable

Immediate Termination:

Individual access to any service may be terminated immediately for fraud, terms violations, or activities jeopardizing our partnerships.

Liability Limitation:

We are not liable for promotional service disruptions due to third-party partner actions beyond our control. This does not affect core service obligations or statutory consumer rights.

Compliance with Regulations:

Our marketing communications comply with:

  • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  • Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003
  • All applicable UK electronic marketing regulations

Mobile Application and Technology Platform

Inforens Mobile Application

App Functionality:

  • University browsing, application tracking, and mentor scheduling through iOS and Android applications
  • Offline access to downloaded content for educational materials and university information
  • Push notifications for application deadlines, mentor sessions, and community updates
  • Integration with device features including camera (for document upload) and calendar (for scheduling)

Digital Content and Intellectual Property:

  • University information, course details, and educational content licensed from official institutional sources
  • User-generated content including reviews and experiences subject to community moderation
  • App updates and feature changes may modify functionality without individual notice
  • Users retain ownership of personal content but grant Inforens usage rights for platform operation

Platform Availability and Technical Support:

  • Best efforts to maintain 99% uptime excluding scheduled maintenance
  • Technical support available through in-app messaging and email support channels
  • App compatibility maintained for current and previous iOS/Android versions where technically feasible
  • Data synchronization between web platform and mobile app included in service provision

Visa and Immigration Support Limitations

Service Scope:

  • General guidance on visa application processes and document preparation
  • Mock interview practice and application timeline assistance
  • Information about visa requirements sourced from official government channels

Professional Limitations:

  • We are not qualified immigration advisers regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC)
  • For complex immigration matters, we recommend consulting qualified immigration solicitors
  • Visa approval decisions made solely by UK Visas and Immigration or relevant government authorities
  • Immigration rule changes may affect guidance accuracy - students responsible for checking current requirements

Document Authentication:

  • Guidance provided on document requirements but authentication remains student responsibility
  • We do not provide official document translation or certification services
  • Students must verify all documents meet current Home Office and university requirements

Cross-Border Financial and Legal Protections

  • Services comply with UK regulations for domestic operations
  • International payment processing subject to applicable currency exchange regulations
  • Students studying in other countries may have additional consumer rights under local laws

Currency and International Payments:

  • Exchange rates applied transparently with current market rates at time of transaction
  • International transfer fees disclosed before payment confirmation
  • Refunds processed in original payment currency subject to exchange rate fluctuations

Emergency Support:

  • 24/7 emergency contact system for students abroad facing urgent situations
  • Liaison with families in home countries during emergency situations where authorized
  • Connection to relevant support services including embassies, universities, and local authorities
  • Emergency support provided as humanitarian assistance without additional service guarantees

Intellectual Property

You agree that all materials, products, and services provided on this platform including all copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property are the property of Inforens, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors. You also agree that you will not reproduce or redistribute Inforens' intellectual property in any way, including electronic, digital, or new trademark registrations.

You grant Inforens a royalty-free and non-exclusive license to display, use, copy, transmit, and broadcast the content you upload and publish. For issues regarding intellectual property claims, you should contact the company in order to come to an agreement.

User Accounts

As a user of this platform, you may be asked to register with us and provide personal information. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of this information, and you are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of your identifying information.

You are also responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password.

If you think there are any possible issues regarding the security of your account on the platform, inform us immediately so we may address them accordingly.

We reserve all rights to terminate accounts, edit or remove content, and cancel orders at our sole discretion.

Refund Policy

Refund Requests: If you reconsider your purchase on our platform, please contact our support team within 24 hours of the purchase date. We will review your request on a case-by-case basis and may offer a partial or full refund at our discretion.

Exceptional Circumstances: We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you are unable to use our service due to technical issues or other valid reasons, please reach out to our support team for assistance. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly.

How to Request a Refund:

Processing of Refunds:

Refunds may not be available for:

  • - Personalized or bespoke services
  • - Booked online session within the minimum notice period for rescheduling
  • - Services where you have breached the T&Cs

Rescheduling Policy

At Inforens, we understand that plans can change. To accommodate this, we offer a flexible rescheduling policy for 1-to-1 online sessions booked and paid for, through our online application. Please review the following terms related to rescheduling requests:

Notice Period: To reschedule a booked session, you must provide a minimum notice period of 48 hours before the scheduled session time, as specified at the time of booking. This notice allows us to offer your time slot to other users and minimize disruption.

Rescheduling Process: To request a reschedule, please contact our customer support team through the platform or via email at contact@inforens.com

Once received, our team will review your request and respond with possible alternative time slots. Please note that rescheduling is subject to availability.

Limitations: Rescheduling requests made within the notice period may not be accommodated, and the original session time will remain in effect. If you fail to attend the session without providing the required notice, the session fee will not be refunded.

Exceptional Circumstances: We understand that emergencies can occur. In such cases, please contact our support team directly, and we will do our best to assist you.

Platform applicable law

By using this platform, you agree that the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Northern Ireland (U.K.), without regard to principles of conflict laws, will govern these terms and conditions, or any dispute of any sort that might come between Inforens and you, or its business partners and associates.

Disputes

Any dispute related in any way to your use of this platform or to products and services you purchase from us shall be arbitrated by English Courts and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
